When naming products, many factors can be considered such as the product use, application and function, but creating a memorable product name requires a deeper meaning than “Product ABC”.
The BGI Challenger received its name from the epic 19th century voyage. Although the 70,000 mile trek of the HMS Challenger greatly contributed to the genesis of the science of oceanography, it was the atmospheric component of the research that inspired the naming of the BGI Challenger calibrator.
BGI has been at the forefront of air sampling equipment for decades with a strong sense of historical context that Mesa intends to carry forward.
